HV O&M Project Engineer/SAP

O&M Engineer/SAP(High Voltage)
Based: Midlands, UK + UK Travel
£40,000 - £50,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Private Medical

We're hiring on behalf of a leading privately owned ICP with a strong presence in the new connections and renewables sector. This is a permanent position based in the Midlands, within a business that puts training, safety, and quality of work front and centre.

The company ensures all engineers are equipped with the training, qualifications, and hands on experience they need to succeed - safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection and maintenance of LV/HV substation equipment

• Protection testing

• HV/LV jointing and cable terminations

• Troubleshooting and fault finding

• Installation of switchgear and transformers

• Testing of earthing systems and associated equipment

• Producing remedial works quotations

• Compiling work packages, job instructions and RAMS

• Coordinating technicians, craftspeople, and subcontractors

• Managing resource allocation across projects

• Liaising with clients and stakeholders to manage project expectations and deliverables

• Ensuring projects meet technical and safety requirements

• Planning and executing HV switching and isolations up to 33kV

• Issuing permits and documentation per company and customer safety rules

• Testing systems, analysing results, and compiling reports

You'll ideally bring:

• HNC in Electrical Engineering (preferably in Power Distribution)

• Experience with private networks and/or the renewable energy sector

• Familiarity with current Health & Safety legislation

• GWO Certification (for onshore wind farms) (optional)

• Emergency First Aid & Manual Handling

• A full, clean UK driving licence

• Strong IT and organisational skill
