Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Human Resources Officer to oversee our HR operations and ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies. This is a hands-on role covering recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, training, and performance management across our varied business departments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to on-boarding.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee records.
- Oversee staff training, development, and compliance with mandatory certifications.
- Handle employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Support managers with performance management processes.
- Coordinate payroll data with the finance team.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, health and safety requirements, and industry standards (including CQC requirements for our care division).
- Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives to support our inclusive workplace culture.
- Advise leadership on workforce planning and organizational development.
- Previous HR experience (minimum 2 years), preferably in multi-sector organizations.
- CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards).
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
