University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the United Kingdom for the Human Resources Management program.
Qualifications- Master's degree in Human Resources Management or related field from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Human Resources Management.
- Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
- Local applicant only; must maintain valid legal status in the country of application.
- Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and convey genuine energy and enthusiasm for learning.
- Guide students in collaboration and application of learning in problem- and project based learning demonstrations.
- Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for assessment of student work, and acknowledge student accomplishments.
- Demonstrate current subject matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
- Provide feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements.
Each new faculty member is required to complete the online new faculty orientation, FacDev 122, as a condition of hire.
CompensationSalary commensurate with experience.
Hiring Range by DegreeNon PhD: Step 1 $903 - Step 16 $1,173 per credit hour
PhD: Step 1 $931 - Step 16 $1,215 per credit hour
