HR Advisor (12-18 Month FTC)
£40,000-£45, hours per week Somerset & surrounding regions
Full time preferred - 4-day week or condensed hours happily consideredRegular travel required across sites in Wiltshire, Exeter, Minehead, Shepton Mallet, North Somerset, and Devon

The Opportunity
We're looking for a HR Advisor who can bring confident, relatable HR support across a wide range of activity, including:
- Managing day-to-day ER cases (sickness, performance, disciplinaries, grievances)
- Holding monthly case review meetings with managers
- Supporting projects: role profiling, harmonisation, organisational change
- Shaping a new consultation & change "playbook"
- Getting involved in restructures, consultations, and occasional TUPE processes
- Building strong on-site relationships across multiple locations
- Coaching managers to feel confident with people challenges
This role offers a great blend of BAU and project work, allowing you to grow in the direction that suits your strengths.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a busy caseload while giving timely, balanced advice to managers
- Being a visible, credible HR presence, around three days a week between sites and the office
- Coaching managers to build confidence in handling people matters
- Supporting organisational change (redundancy, reorganisation and TUPE where needed)
- Playing a key role in HR project delivery and process improvement
- Using data and spreadsheets effectively to track activity and support decision-making
- Helping modernise and simplify HR policies (with support from an external partner)
- Standardising approaches to consultation, acquisition, closure and sale activities
- Navigating a unionised environment with confidence and empathy
About You
We'd love to speak to HR Advisors who are:
- Confident, credible and comfortable constructively challenging where needed
- Experienced in ER case management across a range of issues
- Great relationship builders with strong influencing skills
- Positive, proactive and solutions-driven
- Able to manage autonomy and structure your own diary
- Resilient and comfortable in a people-centric, emotionally intelligent environment
- Familiar with (or keen to gain experience in) change, consultation and TUPE
- Drivers who are happy to travel regularly across multiple sites
