The purpose of the Role:
As an HR Advisor, you'll deliver high-quality, values-led advice and guidance to employees, managers, and senior leaders. You'll provide support across a broad spectrum of people matters, including employment relations, casework, organisational change and TUPE. Your role is pivotal in promoting a respectful, compassionate approach to formal processes, ensuring they're delivered effectively, professionally, and in line with policy and legislation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, expert HR support to a designated caseload, ensuring consistent application of employment law and best practice.
  • Collaborate with HR Managers, Senior People Partners, and senior leaders on casework, organisational change, projects, and risk management.
  • Guide managers through investigations, hearings, and employment tribunals, maintaining dignity and respect for all parties involved.
  • Support safeguarding-related issues and medical referrals, escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Advise on absence management and liaise with occupational health services as needed.
  • Lead on HR processes associated with TUPE transfers, ensuring thorough consultation and smooth transitions.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives, policy development, training delivery, and data-driven service improvements.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain high standards of data entry and record-keeping.
  • Participate in forums, team meetings, and continuous improvement activities.

Reports to: HR Manager

  • Works closely with: Senior People Partner, HR colleagues, Legal, Payroll, Finance, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion teams, and other internal/external stakeholders

What You Bring

  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Significant HR experience with excellent case management skills
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in HR systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement
