Care Network Ireland is recruiting qualified Healthcare Assistants for full-time and part-time opportunities within elderly services healthcare faciities in County Kilkenny.

You will support patients and service users with personal care and daily activities while working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role requires a professional, compassionate and person-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Support patient dignity, privacy, independence and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and healthcare professionals.
  • Follow care plans, health & safety and infection prevention procedures.
  • Assist with meals in line with HACCP requirements.
  • Support the safe movement of patients, equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Complete mandatory training as required.
Requirements
  • QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (all 8 modules) or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Minimum 150 hours' relevant healthcare/care experience.
  • Current Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Food Safety/HACCP and CPI/PMAV training, where applicable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Required Garda vetting/background checks.
  • International Police Clearance may be required where applicable.
