Health, Safety & Environmental Officer

Location: Mallusk, Co. Antrim

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 DOE

Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-3pm

We are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join a leading manufacturing and assembly business based in Mallusk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance across manufacturing, assembly and installation operations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide HSE support and guidance across all departments.
• Develop and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Conduct site, workshop and equipment inspections.
• Lead accident and incident investigations.
• Deliver toolbox talks and employee inductions.
• Assist with audits, compliance activities and emergency preparedness planning.
• Promote best practice and ensure compliance with current HSE legislation.

Essential Requirements:

• NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Minimum 3 years' Health & Safety experience.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, assembly or production environment.
• Experience conducting audits and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

• IOSH Membership (or working towards).
• NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards).
• ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 knowledge.
• Internal Auditor qualification.
