Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
Location: Mallusk, Co. Antrim
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 DOE
Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-3pm
We are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join a leading manufacturing and assembly business based in Mallusk.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance across manufacturing, assembly and installation operations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HSE support and guidance across all departments.
- Develop and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Conduct site, workshop and equipment inspections.
- Lead accident and incident investigations.
- Deliver toolbox talks and employee inductions.
- Assist with audits, compliance activities and emergency preparedness planning.
- Promote best practice and ensure compliance with current HSE legislation.
Essential Requirements:
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum 3 years' Health & Safety experience.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, assembly or production environment.
- Experience conducting audits and incident investigations.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
- IOSH Membership (or working towards).
- NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards).
- ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 knowledge.
- Internal Auditor qualification.
