As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Health & Safety Advisor who is looking to develop their career. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience across laboratory, manufacturing, engineering and operational environments while contributing to the continuous development of our health, safety and compliance systems.

The Opportunity
  • Health and Safety management systems.
  • ISO 9001 implementation and auditing.
  • ISO 45001 preparation.
  • Regulatory compliance and inspections.
  • Incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Safety leadership and culture development.
  • Strategic health and safety planning.

As the business continues to grow, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of larger projects and progressively develop into a future Health & Safety Manager role.

  • Assist with risk assessments, COSHH assessments and DSEAR assessments.
  • Support permit-to-work activities and contractor management.
  • Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Track corrective and preventative actions through to completion.
  • Deliver health and safety inductions and awareness training.
  • Support development of toolbox talks, safety campaigns and communications.
  • Promote employee engagement in health and safety initiatives.
Monitoring & Reporting
  • Conduct workplace inspections and behavioural observations.
  • Monitor accident, near miss and hazard reporting systems.
  • Support KPI reporting and trend analysis.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness exercises and response planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety performance and compliance.
  • Support implementation of safety improvement projects.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of company policies, procedures and standards.
  • Gradually assume ownership of selected management system elements as experience develops.
  • IOSH membership.
