Head of Student Life Regulatory Assurance & Clinical Quality
Posted 1 hour 27 minutes ago by The University Of Wolverhampton
Lead the future of quality, clinical governance and regulatory assurance in Student Life.
The University of Wolverhampton is investing in the next generation of Student Life leadership.
As higher education continues to evolve, universities are expected not only to provide outstanding student support but also to demonstrate that services are safe, effective, evidence-informed and underpinned by robust governance, professional standards and continuous improvement.
To help realise this ambition, we are seeking an exceptional registered healthcare professional to become our inaugural Head of Student Life Regulatory Assurance & Clinical Quality.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a new strategic function within the Directorate of Student Life, leading the University's approach to regulatory assurance, clinical governance, quality improvement and organisational learning.
Working closely with the Director of Student Life and senior colleagues across the University, you will provide independent professional leadership across safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing, disability inclusion, student financial support, Support to Study, Fit to Train and student welfare. You will lead our programme of audit, quality assurance, benchmarking and service evaluation, ensuring that our services continue to meet the highest standards of professional practice and regulatory compliance.
The role will also play a pivotal part in delivering some of the University's most ambitious strategic developments, including preparations for the University Mental Health Charter, the Disabled Students' Commitment, and the development of our Occupational Health service for students and staff.
This is an opportunity to influence institutional strategy, drive continuous improvement and create meaningful organisational change. Through audit, thematic review, benchmarking and evidence-informed practice, you will help ensure that learning from student experience, operational performance and service delivery is translated into better outcomes for our students and stronger institutional resilience.
We are seeking an experienced leader with current professional registration (preferably with the Nursing and Midwifery Council), together with significant experience of quality assurance, clinical governance, regulatory compliance or professional leadership within higher education, healthcare or another highly regulated environment.
You will bring exceptional analytical, leadership and influencing skills, together with the ability to provide constructive challenge, inspire confidence and build productive relationships across a complex organisation. Above all, you will be passionate about improving services, promoting professional excellence and ensuring that every student benefits from safe, inclusive and high-quality support.
If you are looking for an opportunity to shape a new strategic function, influence institutional decision-making and contribute to sector-leading Student Life practice, we would be delighted to hear from you.
