Salary: £51,549.00 - £55,035.00 Per Annum

Introduction
As part of this environmental charity's 2030 strategy, the organisation needs to inspire many more, and more diverse people, to take action for nature. To do this effectively their communications, marketing, campaigning and fundraising activity must work together to increase the charity's relevance to the public and ensure they are known as a charity in need of support.
Working collaboratively with brand, communications, fundraising and marketing colleagues across the organisation you will lead the charity's marketing approach both strategically and operationally. You will bring your expertise to shape how the organisation builds support for the charity and their cause in the short and long-term, across both financial and non-financial support (including campaigning and volunteering).
What's the role about?
- Develop, implement and monitor the charity's marketing strategic approach aligned to corporate strategy and audience insight. Setting clear direction and frameworks to elevate individual product strategies and plans to deliver strong outcomes for the organisation.
- Provide consultancy and guidance to product and channel owners to optimise marketing efficiency and ROI through effective use of data, systems, processes and technologies. Working with specialists across marketing, fundraising and digital data and technology to ensure the organisation has the right foundations in place to drive their marketing success.
- Jointly lead the organisation's marcomms planning process alongside the Head of Content & Creative. Bringing an audience and insight led approach to scoping, prioritising and phasing of the organisations collective marcomms outputs. Ensuring they are putting their energy and resources behind a plan that will deliver their strategic outcomes.
- Provide consultancy to internal and external teams at briefing stage for priority activities as identified through the marcomms plan.
- Work with colleagues in brand, fundraising and campaigning to collaborative plan and monitor all paid marketing activity. Owning the relationship with the charity's paid media agency partner.
- Leadership of the Marketing Team through clear decision making and direction setting along with excellent people management. Responsible for ensuring the outputs from the Marketing Team are prioritised and aligned behind strategy to maximise the impact of internal and external resources.
- Departmental leadership role; representing the Brand & Marketing department with internal stakeholders and supporting the Head of Brand & Marketing to build a high-performance culture within the department.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience of leading a marketing function. Strong understanding of principles and best practice for marketing strategy and operations.
- Proven track record in effective data analysis and interpretation. Able to use this insight to measure performance, identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decisions.
- Curious and collaborative, skilled at influencing across the business.
- Able to translate a strong understanding of brand and organisational strategy to inform organisation wide direction for marketing.
- Strong project management and organisation skills.
- Experienced at developing collaborative external and internal relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to present, influence and represent the department.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, able to develop team members for high performance and build a positive culture.
- Able to set, implement and hold teams accountable to standards and targets.
