Head of HistoryRequired for January 2026 - subject to satisfactory clearance checks. Main Scale, full time, permanent contract.

• Lead in the teaching of history so that all teachers deliver lessons of consistently high quality
• Hold accountability for outcomes of students studying history in KS4 and KS5
• Share best practice regarding marking and assessment
• Monitor progress of students in relation to target grades
• Promote and maintain high expectations at all times
• Build on partnerships within school and in the wider community

We are looking for a successful teacher of history with a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes up to and including A Level. The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, a good sense of humour and be able to lead a successful department. They should also be able to promote and maintain the high standards expected.

Hours: Full Time, Term Time only plus 4 PD days

Salary: Teachers Main Pay Range - Upper pay Range £32,916 - £51,048 per annum plus TLR 2:2
