Head of English:

A brilliant school in North Birmingham is looking for a Head of English to inspire and engage students in the exciting world of education. As a successful English Teacher, you will possess a strong background and passion for teaching English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Attributes of a Head Of English:

1. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
2. Take on specific tasks related to the day-to-day administration and organisation of the department.
3. Take on any additional responsibilities, which might from time to time be determined.
4. Support staff in achieving the priorities and targets of the school improvement plan and monitor the progress.
5. Ensure that parents and teaching staff are well informed about the curriculum, targets, children's progress, and attainment in English.

Qualifications a Head Of English Will Have:

1. QTS/PGCE that is valid in the UK (Preferably within English).
2. Strong knowledge of the current UK English Curriculum.
3. While experience as a Head Of English is desirable, we welcome experienced teachers within the UK English sector to apply.
