Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Can be based in Kildare, Ireland or North London to Midlands Region of the UK Heavy Industrial and/or Construction industry

We are seeking a Head of HSEQ to join our client's senior leadership team in a senior HSEQ leadership position within the business, as part of the wider European organisation.

The role offers the opportunity to influence HSEQ and operational excellence across a large workforce, plus contractors, delivering critical services across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Providing strategic HSEQ leadership and direction for HSEQ
• Lead and continually improve HSEQ governance frameworks, management systems and assurance programmes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, industry standards and ISO management systems.
• Analyse performance data, trends and incidents to identify opportunities for improvement and drive corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into incidents, ensuring lessons learned are embedded throughout the business.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies that improve HSEQ performance
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, professional bodies and key stakeholders.
• Support wider business objectives by ensuring HSEQ considerations are integrated into operational decision making, business growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 3rd level Qualification in related field (HSEQ, Occ. Health, Risk Management).
• 8+ years of experience in HSEQ Management/Leadership positions
• Strong experience around ISO (9001, 14001, 45001) and IMS Management systems.
• Strong working knowledge of UK, Irish and European Health & Safety legislation and recognised industry standards.
• Experience engaging with regulators, clients and industry bodies.
• Preferably EU Passport and ability to travel occasionally across Europe
