Head Chef

Global Talent 2020 is recruiting an ambitious Head Chef to lead and join their exciting kitchen operations at a brand new, well positioned venue in a fantastic all year round location. You will help launch the site with the implementation of Spring 2026 menus in this fast growing, casual dining, award winning restaurant.

The Person

Our client is seeking a real kitchen leader who can harness the talent of brigades and utilize the brand new kitchen facilities to create memorable food experiences and put the location on the map in the East of Scotland.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the kitchen brigade and ensuring consistent food quality to at least a 1 Rosette standard.
• Coordinating with senior operational heads, regional culinary management, and all site teams.
• Training, coaching, and mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Managing kitchen health, safety, COSHH, RIDDOR compliance and maintaining strong cost and budgetary control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience producing fresh, quality food at a minimum 1 Rosette level and managing volume restaurants in the high street space.
• Strong all round culinary skills, presentation, food innovation, and personnel management. • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and effective communication with diverse teams.
• Experience with recruitment, training, mentoring, and kitchen budget management.
