This is a six-month fixed-term contract to provide cover for an employees family leave. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, and therefore can only consider applicants with a short or no notice period.

About the RoleThis is a highly strategic and independent role with visibility and impact at the very top of the business. You'll work directly across our Executive Committee, Regional Presidents, Global Functional Leaders, and Market MDs to frame key strategic questions and deliver robust, aligned answers.
You will be encouraged to bring constructive challenge to top management, influence decision-making, and ensure strategic clarity across our global leadership teams. The role reports to the Strategy Director and spans corporate strategy, market and category strategy, and functional transformation.
You'll lead projects that cut across the entire value chain-from Direct-to-Consumer platform strategy to supply chain transformation and global commercial growth. The work is fast-paced, diverse, and at the heart of enabling Diageo's ambition to be the best.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Executive Committee to shape Diageo's global strategic direction
- Lead and supply to major corporate, category, market and functional strategies
- Bring aligned recommendations to senior leaders and Board of Directors
- Conduct meticulous strategic and financial analysis, including modelling to inform critical long-term business decisions
- Deliver an external and forward-looking perspective to all work, considering economic, socio-demographic, geopolitical, and consumer trends
- Provide deep expertise and support to solve complex business problems across functions
- Identify innovative and practical solutions that influence senior leaders to adopt new points of view
- Operate independently, providing strategic leadership in cross-functional teams and projects
- Translate strategic thinking into actionable transformation across markets and functions
- Drive alignment by communicating complex ideas in a clear and compelling way to a senior audience
We're looking for a high-performing individual with a deep background in strategy, confirmed analytical strength, and the ability to shape and influence decisions at the highest levels.
You'll need to demonstrate:
- 8-10 years of total professional experience, with a strong grounding in business strategy
- 4-5 years in a dedicated strategy role within a top-tier consultancy (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or corporate strategy in a global organisation
- A consistent track record in framing complex business problems and developing clear, data-led insights
- Experience working across multiple markets, categories, or business functions, ideally in a matrixed, global environment
- The ability to engage and influence C-suite executives and senior partners to drive aligned decision-making
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to simplify complex problems and craft a clear strategic narrative
- Strong communication skills and strategic storytelling ability
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the confidence to constructively challenge and align senior leadership teams
- Ideally, you are currently in a Strategy Manager, Senior Strategy Manager, or Corporate Strategy role in a global business
