Group Financial Accountant

Voor een corporate omgeving in de omgeving van Schiphol zoeken wij een Group Financial Accountant / Corporate Accountant.

Focus ligt op statutory accounting en reporting, consolidatie en intercompany activiteiten. Je bent sparringpartner voor de CFO. We zoeken in eerste instantie een kandidaat die, naast Engels, óók goed Nederlands spreekt en in Nederland (N-H) woonachtig is. Salarisindicatie rond 85-90k.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for all statutory accounting and reporting, including preparation of statutory financial statements (full and half year results), reconciliations, (re)valuations, loans and derivatives, fiscal positions, dividends, DNB reporting and ensuring correct bookkeeping;
• Responsible for the quarter close reports and the quality of these reports;
• Responsible for all intercompany entries, (sub-)consolidations, loans and new treasury contracts;
• Sparring partner of the CFO, main contact for all corporate accounting and financing issues;
• Responsible for the full-year audit and half-year review, main contact person for the external auditors
• Ensure the quality of the corporate treasury planning (new contracts, change in interest rates, drawdowns, equity to loan conversion);
• Proactively contribute to the improvement of financial processes of Corporate Accounting;
• Involved in different ad-hoc tasks and projects.
• Responsible for calculating the financing limited for tax purposes.
• Responsible for updating and maintaining the ESEF tagging in line with ESMA.

Additional responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data, reconcile intercompany transactions, and prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for management and regulatory purposes
• Responsible for compiling all notes to the annual financial statements, including the check for consistency
• Work closely with US and other departments treasury etc and teams to resolve consolidation issues, discrepancies, and ensure seamless data flow between systems/departments.
• Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and interpreting the consolidated financial statements.
• Stay updated with accounting regulations, standards, and reporting requirements, ensuring adherence and implementing necessary changes to meet evolving standards.
• Responsible for structuring and compiling the annual press release financial results

Desired profile - education and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance (e.g. Accountancy, Economics, Accounting & Control);
• several years of relevant working experience, preferably as a statutory auditor at a Big4 firm;
• Understanding of corporate accounting (consolidation, loans, financial instruments, assets, equity, revaluations, etc);
• Good and thorough understanding of IFRS and Dutch GAAP;
• Experienced in Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP and BFC consolidation tool is an advantage;
• Knowledge and experience in drafting financial statements and performing consolidations;
• Self-starting, enthusiastic and a pro-active attitude;
• Strong communication- and social skills;
• Enjoys working in an international environment and building relationships;
• Driven and ambitious;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both in verbal and written communication.
