Graduate Teaching Assistant - Full Time, Primary School

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join one of our partner primary schools in North Tyneside. This full time role is perfect for recent graduates or those with relevant degree backgrounds who want to make a difference in children's learning and development. We welcome applicants from Psychology, Sports Science, English, Mathematics, or other related fields.

Graduate Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Providing one to one and small group interventions (literacy, numeracy, social skills)
• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
• Assisting with planning, preparation and assessment activities
• Supporting extracurricular activities such as sports, reading clubs or enrichment sessions

We are looking for graduates who:

• Hold a minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
• Have a genuine passion for working with children aged 4-11
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are proactive, adaptable and resilient
• Have experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
• Are considering teacher training, educational psychology or school based careers
