Graduate Scientist

• Complete a two-year graduate programme within Science
• Experience the complete water journey from source to tap
• Work alongside Sampling teams monitoring environmental and drinking-water quality
• Gain laboratory experience using analytical instruments and innovative technologies
• Work with Process Science teams to optimise treatment processes and support infrastructure projects
• Provide critical advice to operational teams
• Gain exposure to Strategic Science and Reporting & Analytics teams
• Contribute to major capital programmes, investment projects and evidence-based decision-making
• Develop expertise through placements and meaningful business challenges

Requirements

• Minimum 2:2 in any degree discipline, obtained in the last 3 years or currently being studied
• Must have graduated by September 2027 for the 2027 intake
• Particularly relevant degree backgrounds include Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Geography, Physics and related disciplines
• Strong interest and passion for science, technology products and the water industry
• Relevant experience, projects or activities may demonstrate suitability
• Curiosity, ambition and readiness to learn
• Problem-solving and collaborative working abilities
• Flexibility to work across the Anglian Water region and different departments
