Geography Teacher Location: Coastal Hampshire Start: September Contract: Full Time
A large secondary school located on the Hampshire coast is looking to appoint a Geography Teacher to join their well-regarded humanities department. This would be an ideal opportunity for a teacher who enjoys bringing human and physical geography to life through clear teaching, strong subject knowledge, and real-world application.
The humanities team is collaborative, well-planned and driven by a curriculum that builds curiosity, critical thinking and geographical understanding at every stage.
About the role To teach Geography across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Plan and deliver structured lessons that develop knowledge of landscapes, environments and global systems
Use assessment effectively to identify progress and next steps
Participate in local fieldwork and enrichment
Contribute to a reflective and supportive team
Maintain a positive and purposeful classroom environment
About you You will be a qualified Geography Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for your discipline. You will enjoy inspiring learners, encouraging debate, and helping students connect geographical ideas with the world around them. Clear communication and a collaborative mindset are essential.
