Are you an experienced and resilient Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for a rewarding role within a specialist setting?A specialist SEMH school in Canterbury is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to lead a small class of pupils who benefit from a structured, nurturing and trauma-informed approach to learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who values strong relationships, consistency and tailored support to help pupils succeed both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilites: Year 6 Teacher - SEMH Provision- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to a Year 6 class within a specialist SEMH settingCreate a calm, structured and supportive classroom environmentWork closely with support staff, pastoral teams and the SENCO to meet individual pupil needsSupport pupils' emotional regulation, confidence and readiness for transitionUse positive behaviour strategies and consistent routines to promote learning
The Ideal Candidate: Year 6 Teacher - SEMH Provision
- Holds QTS and has experience teaching in KS2Confident adapting the curriculum to meet individual needsStrong classroom management with a calm and reflective approachExperience in SEMH, SEN or alternative provision is highly desirablePassionate about making a meaningful difference in a specialist setting
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - Essential
£170 - £260 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
