We're looking for a General Manager for a popular community pub. Salary up to £48k plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

The Pipe Major sits in a fantastic spot - just moments from Dagenham town centre and a 2 minute walk from the tube station. With Dagenham Football Stadium only a 5 minute stroll away (home of the West Ham Women's team and Dagenham FC), plus a Travelodge next door and a growing hub of new businesses surrounding the pub, this site already benefits from strong footfall and a vibrant local community.

In early 2025, the Pipe Major underwent a transformational £250,000 Capex investment, becoming one of the first pubs to launch our brand-new Two Door format. This presents a brilliant chance for an ambitious operator to shape the future of this concept and leave their mark on a flagship community venue.

Our Two Door pubs bring together the best of both worlds - a welcoming, family friendly dining experience alongside a lively, traditional pub atmosphere. To thrive here, you'll be an agile and versatile operator who can:

The venue features darts boards, pool tables, and dedicated sports viewing areas, making it a true hub for local teams, groups, and social occasions. Your passion for community engagement and delivering a great guest experience will be crucial in building the Pipe Major's reputation. Currently delivering £33k average weekly sales with a 55/45 dry-to-wet sales mix, the Pipe Major is already a strong trading business - with huge potential still to unlock.

Management accommodation: is available in the form of a large 3 bedroomed flat above the pub.

What hours would I need to work?

As the General Manager of your pub, you'll be required to work at peak trading times which involves evenings & weekends, as well as peak trading days such as bank holidays & the festive period.
