Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in the organisation and setup of workstations before service
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Follow all food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
Support the team during peak hours by assisting with meal preparation and plating as needed
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
