Hours: 37.5 hours per week About the Role:
MPA Recruitment is currently seeking applications for the position of Legal Secretary on behalf of our client.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, professional and detail-focused individual to join a busy office environment, providing administrative and clerical support to a legal or professional services team.
The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate records, managing documentation, updating computer systems and supporting the wider team with day-to-day administrative tasks. This role would suit someone with previous office or administrative experience, as well as candidates looking to develop their skills within a legal or professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing general administrative and clerical support to the team.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on relevant computer systems.
- Managing, organising and maintaining electronic and paper-based files.
- Closing and archiving completed files in line with relevant procedures.
- Retrieving and organising documents and files when required.
- Scanning, uploading and digitising documentation to maintain accurate electronic records.
- Assisting with document management and filing processes.
- Preparing, formatting and processing correspondence and documentation as required.
- Ensuring information is recorded accurately and efficiently.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately at all times.
- Supporting colleagues with general administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day office operations.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in an administrative, clerical or office-based environment.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- A positive and flexible approach to work.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience within a legal, professional services or regulated environment.
- Experience of document management, filing or records administration.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Previous experience providing administrative support to a busy team.
- An Access NI Check may be required for this role.
