Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high quality GCSE and Functional Skills English lessons
• Using creative approaches to engage learners of varying abilities
• Tracking progress and providing constructive, motivating feedback
• Supporting learners with exam preparation and resit pathways
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
• Creating an inclusive, encouraging and achievement focused classroom environment

Pre requisites

• A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Strong subject knowledge in English at GCSE level
• FE experience is an advantage, but secondary experience is equally valued
• Excellent communication, organisation and rapport building skills
• A commitment to high expectations, learner progress and safeguarding
