Overview

Gas Boiler Engineer responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assemble and disassemble components using hand tools and power tools as necessary. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations, including pipe fitting and connections. Carry out heavy lifting when required, ensuring proper safety techniques. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties.
• Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assemble and disassemble components using hand tools and power tools as necessary.
• Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations, including pipe fitting and connections.
• Carry out heavy lifting when required, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Gas Boiler Engineer.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Basic maths skills for calculations related to installations and repairs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs.
• Experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Certification in relevant gas safety regulations is required (e.g., Gas Safe Register).
• A proactive approach to health and safety practices within the workplace.
