Overview

Food Preparation Assistant - Ref: EE12825. Available from 1st March 2026. Salary G3 £13.26 - £13.47 per hour.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable individual to assist in the production and delivery of school meals. The successful candidate will undertake general kitchen duties including the cleaning of associated equipment. In return, we offer excellent pay rate, uniform and access to training.

Premises

Holy Trinity Primary School, 11 Church St, Clayhanger, Walsall WS8 7EG

Hours

Hours per week: 17 hours 30 minutes (Term time - 38 weeks per year). Times: 10:15am - 1:45pm, Monday to Friday.

Note: work hours are indicative of the requirements of the post. Start and end times may vary (within the hours stated) dependant on the needs of the service.

Special conditions

• Pre-employment health questionnaire prior to commencing kitchen duties, in line with FSA guidance due to health and safety risks.

Qualifications

• Essential Food Hygiene Certificate (held or training arranged).
• Completion of a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check may be required for this post.

• Post is covered by the Government Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. Verbal communication with customers in accurate spoken English is required.
