Food & Beverage Assistant

You will receive training through our Dalata Academy to help you learn important skills. You will also meet experienced team members who can help you grow.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and the Operations Manager, the Food and Beverage Assistant will provide friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

Your Job:
  • Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, beers, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks to a high standard.
  • Confidently recommend drinks and menu items, making suggestions that enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Support restaurant service by taking orders, running food, and ensuring guests are well looked after throughout their visit.
  • Upsell effectively across both food and beverage, promoting specials, cocktails, and upgrades to maximise revenue.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the food menu as well as drinks, including allergens and pairings.
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol at all times.
  • Work closely with the wider team to deliver smooth, efficient service during busy periods.
  • Take ownership of your section, ensuring the bar and service areas are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
  • Handle payments accurately using the till system, ensuring all orders are processed correctly.
  • Support with opening and closing duties, including set-up, cleaning, and stock control.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture, bringing energy, teamwork, and a can-do attitude every shift.
What You'll Need:
  • Previous experienceis essential.
  • Flexibility in working hours as the role includes evenings & weekends
  • Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
  • Micros experience would be preferable.
  • Experience in a hotel is preferable.
