Financial Controller

Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be working exclusively with an ambitious and expanding business to appoint a Financial Controller into a pivotal leadership role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to take full ownership of the finance function within a scaling organisation. The role offers strong exposure to senior leadership and investors, alongside genuine progression potential as the business continues to evolve. The Financial Controller will lead and develop the finance function, combining hands on operational delivery with strategic business partnering.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close, delivering accurate and insightful management accounts
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling processes
• Develop and enhance costing and margin analysis models
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure balance sheet integrity
• Lead finance systems development and process improvement initiatives
• Partner closely with commercial teams to support decision-making and performance
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team

The Person

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong post-qualification experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
• Commercially astute with the ability to influence at senior level
• Comfortable operating in a fast paced, evolving environment
• Proactive, hands on and solutions focused
