Job Description
Finance Manager job in Shepton Mallet Lead and manage the company's day-to-day financial operations. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. Manage VAT returns Oversee finance operations such as accounts payable and receivable and month-end close processes. Partner with the leadership team to deliver a financial strategy aligned with the company's growth ambitions and commercial goals. Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support decision-making. Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Identify areas for financial efficiency and automation.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role.
- Ideally qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role within an SME.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence at senior level.
- Confident with financial systems and Excel reporting. Sage Line 50 experience is desirable.
- Highly organised, pragmatic and hands-on in approach.
