Are you a finance professional looking to make an impact in a purpose-led organisation? We re working with an inspiring charity that is seeking an Interim Finance Manager to support them through a busy and important transition period.
This is a freelance, short-term opportunity suited to someone with strong charity finance experience, who can hit the ground running and provide immediate value.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts
Monitor and report on income and expenditure, ensuring accuracy and accountability
Manage restricted and unrestricted funds in line with funder requirements
Maintain accurate records using Sage accounting software (essential)
Oversee and liaise with outsourced bookkeeping and payroll providers
Prepare clear and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Support funding applications with accurate financial data and analysis
Ensure full compliance with charity finance regulations, including Gift Aid
Manage year-end accounts and assist with audit preparation
About You Essential Criteria:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in charity finance, including restricted funds
Confident managing income and expenditure reporting
Proficient in Sage this is a must
Detail-oriented, with strong reporting and analytical skills
Able to work independently and manage external financial providers
