Position Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Factory Operative to join a growing and forward thinking timber manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a skilled and supportive team with over 50 years of experience producing high quality structural timber components.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm, 40 hours per week (includes 30 minute unpaid break)

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and cutting timber for production processes
• Assembling structural timber components
• Carrying out basic metalwork when required
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Operating timber cutting machinery (full training provided)

Requirements

• Own transport essential due to location
• Minimum 2 years' experience in woodwork or a similar field preferred
• Side loading FLT desirable
• Experience with timber cutting or machine operation advantageous
• Ability to read drawings and work with millimetre precision
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
