Warehouse Facilities Technician - Electrical Engineer 
FGH Listerhills Warehouse, Thornton Road, Bradford, BD8 8LG
Permanent - Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer? We have a great opportunity for you to join us in a full time position at our Listerhills warehouse.
Role Accountabilities- Achieve best value for money consistent with agreed standards and act at all times in the best interests of the company.
- Assist in the implementation of projects funded from the capital and exceptional maintenance budgets.
- To follow our on-site PPM program which includes:
- Sprinkler system - maintenance and repair of sprinklers and associated equipment.
- Legionella testing in accordance with approved code of practice.
- Fire alarms testing.
- Ladders.
- Testing and repair of emergency lighting.
- Portable appliance testing.
- Maintain and update records in a timely manner.
- Efficiently manage breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs quickly and efficiently on site equipment to minimise production losses.
- Using our building management system (Trend BMS), maximise site energy savings for heating & lighting.
- Repair and install electrical and/or mechanical equipment, in accordance with good practice and current regulations.
- To safely isolate electrical supplies and reinstate, Implement and adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Stores booked out correctly. Critical parts -minimum stock levels maintained. Parts booked out and restock requirements identified and team leader advised with appropriate priority.
- Fixed wire installations - Testing and remedials following EICR's.
- To carry out repairs and maintenance of ventilation and air conditioning plant (excluding the refrigeration component).
- To undertake first response to fire alarms (Full training given on site).
- To participate in the standby and call out rota and promptly respond to call outs if contacted out of hours by security. Attend 100% of callouts if on standby cover.
- To undertake training as necessary to maintain the qualifications relevant to the role.
- To undertake such other duties as the company may reasonably require.
- To keep internal customers informed at all times of work in progress and maintain good relations.
- To be aware of and abide by staff briefings, risk assessments, safe working practices and company procedures.
- Sustain and develop the Continuous Improvement culture.
- Ensure that a high level of general housekeeping is achieved in all areas.
- Heating and DHW services, balers, compactors, roller shutter doors, canteen equipment.
- Recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering, preferably with Mechanical experience.
- City and Guilds Level 3 Inspection & Testing (Course 2391) or equivalent.
- City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering (Course th Edition) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in installation, fault finding and repair of electrical equipment in an industrial/ commercial environment.
- Recognised apprenticeship or in depth knowledge in mechanical engineering.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Work to all company procedures, site rules, risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Statutory compliance for all plant and equipment on the site achieved and maintained.
- Sprinkler plant and ventilation / air conditioning systems knowledge.
- Experienced in pneumatics and hydraulics and the maintenance and repair of baling / compacting machinery (Desirable).
- Undertake working across both of our sites as dictated by the needs of the business. (Based mainly at our Listerhills site but expected to be flexible & support across both sites in Bradford).
- To work such shift patterns and overtime as are necessary to support business needs.
- To work overtime as requested by line management to support operations or in accordance with business needs.
