Facilities Supervisor - Ferndene Hospital

Join Our Team as a Facilities Supervisor at Ferndene Hospital.

We provide Facilities Support Services to a mental health and learning disabilities trust. This part time position (30 hours) pays pro rata at Band B (£15.13 per hour).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facilities operations, ensuring high standards across Domestic Services, Catering, and Portering.
• Manage staff scheduling, performance, and development.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations.
• Coordinate cleaning, food service preparation, and catering activities to meet service standards.
• Oversee cashier duties, operating a till and managing financial transactions.

Person Specification Experience

• Experience of different types of food and cleaning services.
• Experience working in catering or cleaning.
• Experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience with cashier duties and operating a till.

Skills and Knowledge

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident decision making and good organisation.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation and food service.
• In depth knowledge of hygiene and health and safety legislation, including COSHH.
• Customer care awareness.
• Able to meet the mobility requirements of the role.

Education and Qualifications

• Recognised catering or cleaning qualification such as NVQ Level 1 and 2.
• NVQ Level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent.
• Health and Safety qualification.
