About the role
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) plays a leading role in improving women s healthcare across the world. We have an exciting opportunity for an Event Co-ordinator to join our team. This position is based in the Events and Corporate Development department and reports directly to the Events Manager, to play a leading role in delivering a high standard and quality events.
As an Event Co-ordinator, you will be at the heart of our event operations, working closely with clinical organisers and specialist societies to ensure seamless planning and execution of our events. This role is crucial in managing all logistics, planning, and ensuring each event runs seamlessly from inception to the event.
Responsibilities:
- To have full ownership and responsibility for the delivery of events, both face-to-face and virtually
- Provide onsite management during events, ensuring smooth execution and addressing any issues that arise promptly
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our volunteer clinical organisers, ensuring their vision and expectations are met and align with the College objectives
- Assist with post-event evaluation and feedback collection, ensuring continuous improvement for future events

About you
This position is well suited to someone who has a passion for delivering a high standard of events and enjoys keeping track of multiple events at one time who is looking to make a tangible impact in improving the standards of women s health around the globe. You will enjoy the attention to detail and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. We are looking for someone who is customer focused and possesses the following skills and capabilities:
Requirements:
- Previous event organisation experience
- Experience of virtual event delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to interact with organisers and internal team confidently to achieve the teams objectives
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi task when working on a number of events concurrently
- Ability to bring new ideas to the team to continuously strive to enhance and improve our portfolio of events
- Comfortable learning and using event management software
