Join us at Barclays as a European Regulatory Operations Senior Client Asset Segregation Sourcebook (CASS) Calculation Specialist. This role is within the European Regulatory Operations team, responsible for overseeing the Client Asset Segregation Sourcebook (CASS) within Global Market Operations to ensure compliance with client and regulatory obligations regarding client assets. The role includes validation and review of daily Client Money and Stock Shortfall calculations, as well as operating controls to mitigate CASS risk. The team collaborates globally with Market Operations, risk, and compliance functions.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Strong knowledge of CASS regulations and their application.
- Experience in risk management related to client assets and compliance.
- Understanding of 2-3 Market Operations areas such as Trade Management, Settlement & Delivery, Asset Servicing, or reconciliations.
- Experience supervising calculations and maintaining relationships within and outside the team.
Valuable additional skills include:
- Quick grasp of business concepts and proactive issue resolution focusing on regulatory impact.
- Problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
- Effective stakeholder communication across teams.
- Experience in financial services or regulatory environments is desirable.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
This role is based in Glasgow.
Purpose of the role
Support daily processing, review, reporting, trading, and issue resolution across business areas.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily operational initiatives, including processing, reviewing, reporting, and trading.

- Develop operational reports and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
