Ontic, a leading provider in the aerospace industry specializing in 'Extended Life Solutions' for OEM legacy and non-core products, is seeking an Electronic Component Engineer to join our team in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. This role supports our growth and success in the aerospace sector.

As a trusted global aerospace partner, Ontic supplies established aircraft parts to aerospace leaders worldwide, offering product solutions and OEM support. Our growth is driven by ongoing acquisitions of product licenses, increasing our workload in OE and MRO operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide guidance to colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors on component analysis and compatibility, especially dealing with obsolescence and supply issues.
2. Utilize the company's Component Management Information System (CMIS) to maintain detailed records.
3. Manage obsolescence and shelf life procedures to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role involving electronic and electro-mechanical components.
• Knowledge of obsolescence management databases.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and work efficiently under pressure.
• Competence in recommending alternative materials following international standards.
