EU Finance Functional Risk Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted risk advisor to aligned Finance leaders
• Identify and address risks before they impact objectives
• Present Finance updates at appropriate committee meetings
• Serve as a functional liaison between the Business Line and second and third lines of defence
• Evaluate and consult on risks associated with strategic priorities or major programs and projects
• Design, enhance, and simplify effective control environments for Finance teams
• Provide assurance of Business Line compliance with the Enterprise Risk Appetite Statement and Enterprise Risk Management Policy
• Lead collaboration sessions to document Root Cause Analysis for Business Line Incidents and report Operational losses
• Support Issues Management, BCIQ & PRISM submissions, Risk Assessment Unit reviews, and monitor them through their full lifecycle
• Manage ad hoc projects from start to finish
• Respond to unexpected events and findings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Six to ten years of applicable experience
• Sound understanding of investment management practices, financial instruments, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
• Knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
• Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills
