Job Description

This is a remote position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Client's Database Services are expanding, and we are seeking a creative, inquisitive Enterprise Database Architect.
• Our team manages significant projects involving over 3000 databases across the UK, Canada, and the US.
• This role offers a diverse range of duties, including designing strategies for Enterprise Database Systems, setting standards for operations, programming, and security, utilizing ETL architecture standards.
• We are adopting an automation-first approach, and we value your inquisitive, entrepreneurial mindset-asking how we can improve and innovate.
• You will research and present new technologies to enhance our database strategy, services, and support.
• This global role can be based remotely from any of our UK, Canada, or US offices, with flexible remote working options.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Interest or experience in NoSQL and/or MongoDB Atlas.
• Familiarity with data visualization, migration, and modeling tools.
• Strategic thinking abilities.
• Background in applied mathematics and statistics.
• Extensive database or related computer science experience.
• Knowledge of Relational DBMS.
• Experience in database and cloud architecture, data lakes, and design.
• Ability to design large relational databases and integrate new systems.
• Manage data integration, train users, and optimize system performance.
• Break down complex codes for end-user understanding.
• Provide timely solutions to data problems with sustainable techniques.
• Facilitate communication between end-users and data specialists.
• Research and implement emerging industry best practices.
• Maintain a positive outlook to develop dependable, user-friendly systems.
• Support ongoing maintenance, updates, and upgrades, troubleshooting as needed.
• Recommend performance improvements for existing databases.
