Job Role: Chapter Lead - Engineering Manager
Working Model: Full-Time - Remote (with optional quarterly workshops/events)
Salary: Up to £72,000 + Excellent Benefits

Ideal Candidate:

For Senior Engineers moving into management:

  • 5+ years' hands-on experience in Java, React, Angular, or similar

  • Passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing

  • Interest in business impact beyond code

  • Experience coaching or guiding junior developers

For Experienced People Leaders:

  • Proven track record developing technical talent

  • Strong background in agile delivery and product development

  • Curiosity about technology and willingness to learn

  • Skilled in coaching and performance management

  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, automation)

  • Collaborative, inclusive leadership style

  • Growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning

  • Ability to build trust, remove blockers, and create conditions for teams to thrive

What You'll Do:

  • Build and scale world-class engineering teams through recruitment, mentorship, and career development

  • Champion best practices, modern tooling, and architectural standards

  • Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews while staying close to technology

  • Collaborate across teams and product leadership to align technical delivery with strategic objectives

  • Drive innovation responsibly while maintaining compliance and security standards

  • Design personalised growth paths for every team member
