Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Embedded Software Application Engineer to support the development of telematics products and connected services within an Embedded software environment.

The role will suit a senior software engineer with strong C++ development experience, Embedded Linux knowledge and a background in telematics or related technology areas.

The Role

You will contribute to the development of Embedded software that communicates with vehicle systems and Back Office platforms. The position combines software development, technology investigations, verification activities and collaboration within an agile product development environment.

You will also contribute to knowledge sharing activities and support the evaluation of new technologies.

What You'll Bring

* 10+ years' modern C++ experience

* 7+ years' telematics experience or related experience

* Python development experience

* Yocto/Open Embedded experience

* Embedded Linux configuration and debugging

* 7+ years' software architecture experience

* MQTT knowledge beneficial

* REST API experience beneficial

* Automotive or telecommunications background

* Fluent English

Candidate Profile

You will be an experienced Embedded software engineer with strong C++ development skills and a background in telematics, connectivity or related Embedded systems. You will be comfortable working within agile product development teams and contributing across software development, technical investigations and verification activities.
