Job Description
Ecologist(£37,563 -£40,444 pro per week/0.8 FTE), Temporary 12 monthsmaternity cover (starting from commencement)

Now is the time to work for Warwickshire County Council; the first Council to deliverBiodiversityNetGainandis atthe forefrontof other nature markets.

We are looking for an Ecologist for one year atapproximately 4 days a week to cover maternity leave. Your primary rolewillbetodeliverecological planning advice for adistrict orboroughcouncilwithinWarwickshire.There willalsobe opportunities to support theWarwickshire Biological Record Centre; carry out ecological surveys for project work;and helpfashion new nature markets to support investment into Warwickshire, all todeliver the Warwickshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

You will be joining a dedicated, knowledgeable, and experienced teamcomprising14 ecological officers, five historic environment officers, and two landscape architects.

We are seeking an enthusiastic officerwith good ecological background knowledge. Those with aproventrack recordfor deliveringhigh-qualityplanning advicewill be at an advantage.Currently, this post is for 1 year, butour team is growing andthere is a significant chance that it will be extended with the aim to become permanent.
