About The Organisation

The Role

Responsible for domestic services within hospital and community premises, ensuring effective cleaning, infection control, and a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Working pattern: Saturday to Sunday, 7:30 am - 2:00 pm.

In this key role, you will:

  • Undertake a full and comprehensive range of domestic duties in a supervising capacity.
  • Allocate duties and tasks to domestic staff ensuring service levels across all areas.
  • Purchase cleaning materials and consumables with budgetary awareness.
  • Handle and store chemicals appropriately, complying with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience working as domestic staff in a public sector environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Good personal hygiene.
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part time working hours will be reduced on a pro rata basis. A corresponding increase in hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
