Job Title: Domestic Assistant
Location: Syon Manor College - Vine House Campus, Hillingdon, London UB8 3HD
Salary: £10,637.10 per annum (£13.25 p/h)
Hours: 18 hours per week Monday to Friday Rota TBC
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: December 2025

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our close-knit team at Syon Manor College, part of Options Autism.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Domestic Assistant to join our team and help maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the College. Your role is essential in creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Experience in a cleaning or domestic role is vital, as you'll be working independently and as part of a team to ensure all areas are spotless, well maintained, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the College
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, following COSHH and Health & Safety regulations
- Carry out daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks to schedule
- Support colleagues with larger or specialist cleaning tasks when needed
- Assist with laundry operations when required
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or hazards promptly
- Handle all duties with care, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Uphold the College's values and contribute to a positive, respectful environment
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a domestic, housekeeping, or cleaning role (essential)
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, safety, and hygiene practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
- A proactive, reliable, and responsible approach to work
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all

About Us
Syon Manor College is a new post-16 provision for young people with autism and complex needs. The college will offer a broad curriculum of academic, vocational and life skills learning including BTECs, GCSEs, Functional Skills and ASDAN accreditations which will work towards Employability or Independence and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications.
For over 19 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults.
