About RoleAs Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you will act as the Clinical Lead and second in command of the care home, working in close partnership with the General Manager. Responsibilities- Lead and oversee clinical standards, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery
- Support the General Manager in the overall leadership and performance of the care home
- Inspire, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary clinical and care team
- Monitor compliance through audits, supervised practice, and regulatory checks
- Lead safeguarding processes, clinical risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support workforce planning, mentoring, and preceptorship for newly qualified nurses
- Contribute to strategic planning, budget awareness, and operational performance
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person centred care for all residents
- Registered Nurse (RN or RMN) with current NMC registration
- Recognised teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification
- Proven experience managing complex clinical needs in a care or healthcare setting
- Demonstrated experience in safeguarding, clinical governance, and risk managementStrong leadership, people management, and communication skills
- Basic understanding of HR processes, budget management, and performance management
- Resilient, compassionate, and highly organised leadership style
- Willingness and eligibility to work in the UK under the Skilled Worker visa route
