Bank Resident Doctor ITU

Provide 24-hour critical care resident cover, including immediate resuscitation for patients, visitors, or staff. Support consultants in patient management; liaise with senior nurses regularly on patient progress. Lead the critical care team during emergencies and deliver first aid as needed. Perform ECGs, manage PCA/Epidurals and handle venepuncture/cannulation tasks. Prepare and administer IV drugs, manage male and female catheterisation, and interpret blood results. Conduct emergency airway management and monitor patients using invasive monitoring where appropriate. Coordinate pain management with consultants and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork.

Job responsibilities- Provide 24 hour critical care resident cover, including immediate resuscitation for patients, visitors, or staff.
- Support consultants in patient management; liaise with senior nurses on patient progress.
- Lead the critical care team during emergencies and deliver first aid as needed.
- Perform ECGs, manage PCA/Epidurals and handle venepuncture/cannulation tasks.
- Prepare and administer IV drugs, manage male and female catheterisation, and interpret blood results.
- Conduct emergency airway management and monitor patients using invasive monitoring where appropriate.
- Coordinate pain management with consultants and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine.
- At least 2 years post graduation experience in anaesthetics, ICU and allied emergency medicine, including independent airway skills.
- Current ACLS/ALS and EPLS/PALS certifications.
- Experience in critical care, patient assessment and emergency leadership.
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, IV drug administration, venepuncture, cannulation, communication and teamwork.
