Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Build strong relationships with Management Companies/Fund Service Providers and explain regulatory drivers behind requirements.
- Maintain and manage the annual schedule of Fund Management Company and Fund Service Provider oversight activities.
- Review Fund Management oversight questionnaire responses from Management Companies in relation to operations, governance, and oversight of delegates including Investment Managers in line with regulatory requirements.
- Review oversight questionnaire responses, documents/sample reviews from Fund Service Providers in line with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in and document Fund Management and Fund Service Provider onsite oversight meetings, including preparation and any follow-up requirements.
- Analyze responses for patterns to enhance/update questionnaires.
- Assist in reporting the outcome of these oversight activities to clients, Senior Management Committee and Board of BBHTS.
- Support the team in determining appropriate resolutions to new regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate internal and external projects efficiently and thoroughly.
- Support the wider Depositary Team with ad hoc Client/Management Company engagements following regulatory updates.
- Communicate clearly with business area contacts and other departments.
- Maintain effective working relationships at relevant levels with other departments.
- Escalate within the team significant audit issues, set direction and communicate proposed resolution of audit issues with significant impact.
- Education: Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting.
- Experience: 4 to 5 years working within the funds industry or relevant business line.
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present complex and sensitive issues.
- Experience conducting due diligence or similar activities.
- Knowledge of European and local regulatory requirements relating to the role of a Depositary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Ability to identify, escalation and resolve a problem.
- Professional communication through effective verbal and written skills.
- Time management, organizational skills and detail orientation.
- Teamwork and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
