As a Department Manager, you will blend your passion for sports with leadership skills to cultivate a thriving environment for both your team and our customers. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance the customer experience, drive sales performance, and foster a collaborative team culture within the sport department.
What You'll Do- Drive Omnichannel Performance and Growth
- Develop a localised omnichannel strategy that aligns with store goals and maximises sales performance across all channels.
- Provide exceptional customer experiences at every touchpoint to build loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Continuously improve physical and digital store layouts to enhance customer experience and product discovery.
- Lead the implementation of safety and circularity initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards and promoting sustainability practices.
- Set, monitor, and achieve commercial and profitability targets across all sales channels.
- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
- Cultivate a positive and engaging workplace that embraces Decathlon's values.
- Inspire, mentor, and empower teammates through personalised development plans and regular feedback.
- Ensure all team members possess the knowledge and skills to exceed customer expectations and contribute to strategic goals.
- Uphold and enforce policies that create a fair, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
- Design and implement staffing plans aligned with commercial objectives and organisational changes.
- Oversee Daily Store Operations Performance
- Maintain store security by implementing and upholding safety measures.
- Manage team schedules and resources to meet customer demand and provide exceptional service.
- Control inventory levels, coordinate supply chain operations, and ensure product availability.
- A Sports Enthusiast and Leader - passionate about sports, organised, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent.
- Customer Centric - dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences and building community relationships.
