Dental Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Dental Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis (three days per week). The successful candidate will deliver high-quality preventive and restorative dental care, support oral health promotion, and contribute to a positive patient experience within the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct dental examinations and assess patients' oral health
- Provide preventive treatments including scaling, polishing, and fluoride application
- Carry out restorative procedures such as fillings in primary and permanent teeth
- Extract deciduous (baby) teeth where appropriate
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Offer oral hygiene instruction and tailored patient advice
- Develop and implement personalised care plans
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient recordsFollow strict cross infection control and health & safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with dentists and the wider dental team
Part time position: 3 days per week
Days to be agreed (flexible depending on practice needs)
Potential for occasional additional hours to cover leave or busy periods
Requirements- Degree or diploma in Dental Therapy
- Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, and well organised
- Previous experience in a dental practice setting
- Confidence managing a varied patient caseload
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Based in a dental practice or clinic setting
Patient facing role requiring precision and manual dexterity
