JOB TITLE: Credit Controller

White Horse Employment are partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Credit Controller to join their finance team based in Frome.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring outstanding balances are collected in a timely and professional manner
• Contact customers via phone and email to chase overdue payments and negotiate revised payment dates or payment plans where required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit control activity while closely monitoring aged debt and escalating concerns to management where necessary
• Record and allocate cash received against customer accounts, ensuring transactions are accurately reflected on the sales ledger
• Perform regular customer account reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
• Support month-end processes including receipting, allocations and maintaining accurate debtor records
• Assist with reporting on outstanding balances and debtor performance
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, developing a clear understanding of their payment processes
• Respond promptly to payment queries and work proactively to resolve issues
• Liaise with internal teams where necessary to investigate and resolve account queries while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach to credit control
